Volume 2 Issue # 6
“Airsoft and Beyond”
As we release this “Femme Fatale” issue, airsoft as we used to know it will no longer exist. The so called, “grace period” will have expired and all airsoft guns, players and shops in the Philippine Islands will come out of its underground status and move into the mainstream. Generally speaking, the entire airsoft community will have mixed emotions. As I write this, some players and dealers have already flocked to the PNP Firearms and Explosives Division to comply. Unfortunately, a great majority have not and opted instead to sell what remained of their modest armories and have gone on to other hobbies which do not require a gun or camouflage fatigues.
This particular issue will be an historic one as this will be the first time that airsoft will be openly embraced by the firearms community and the very first time that airsoft will be recognized as a legitimate industry. This is also the very first time that an airsoft publication throws its full support to the Defense and Sporting Arms Show organized by the Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers of the Philippines Inc.(AFAD)
Truly, this is another milestone for the most popular airsoft magazine in the world. A feat no other Filipino publication has achieved. Airsoft Xtreme thanks the Philippine National Police through its maverick chief, Gen. Avelino Razon, Jr., PNP-FED officials and the AFAD through its president, Mr. Neri Dionisio for recognizing the airsoft community and allowing us to keep the game alive.
